Tree of Knowledge is part of a series of A6 sized digital images and was created to explore the qualities of stained glass. The tree represents the development (knowledge) of what is now possible in digital art, when compared with the flat colours used in the previous image ‘Cologne’.
Once again this image uses two base photos. The first of a window which was used just for the black lines of the leading and th
e second for half of the tree, which was mirrored for symmetry. Each small pane of glass is created as a separate element with layers blended and light-leak filters added to create luminosity / translucent effect
